Home Chef is looking for a graphic designer. In this role, you will support our creative team with breakthrough design work and a passionate point of view. As graphic designer, you will report to the creative director and work alongside other designers and writers to concept and execute Home Chef’s various digital and print needs. Your main focus will be on email campaigns, but other asks will include concepting and creating digital ads, updating existing digital and print materials, brainstorming brand ideas, and more. We are looking for someone with a background in design and e-commerce who’s familiar with integrated marketing promotions.

Creative Development

Generate distinctive, engaging and compelling creative that is on strategy, brand, time and budget
Work across marketing tools (e.g. promotions, campaigns, brand communications) and channels (e.g. email, social media platforms, Home Chef website, etc.)
Collaborate closely with Marketing and Product team on content creation
Present creative approach to the Creative Director as well as the marketing clients
Maintain and evolve Creative Standards, Brand and Brand Voice Guidelines
Stay abreast of industry-related trends and technologies

Creative

Graphic design experience with Adobe products (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Sketch
Well-rounded, innovative portfolio of design work that demonstrates a strong understanding of brand and product
Strong typographic, composition and photoshop skills
Expert in developing brand design that spans integrated promotions/programs, online and website elements
Exceptional eye for detail

Character

Strong collaborator who’s not afraid to push for good ideas
Independent self-starter and proactive thinker

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design
2+ years of experience in Graphic Design within an agency or client environment

Iyer is a senior manager of new product development, but she also plays an active role in Home Chef’s cross-functional group, HC Connect. The group organizes social events that promote a sense of belonging across the company and also collaborates with the many affinity groups at Home Chef. Recently, Iyer attended a Mardi Gras trivia night where she learned about Creole culture and Spanish law.

I try to attend as many events as possible. I want to support my peers, but I also walk away with more than I expected, whether it’s a piece of trivia or understanding someone’s perspective in a new light.
