We are seeking a Director of Digital Product Design who has experience breaking down walls between design, engineering, and the business. Hyatt is in the midst of a complete transformation in how digital products are brought to market, and this professional will play a pivotal role in bringing design to the table throughout the product lifecycle. This role will partner closely with leadership in engineering and product management, as well as data analytics, to elevate the global guest experience across Hyatt's web and mobile products.

Our Product Design team is an integral part of our company and plays a key role in creating the initial vision for new features and adding the finish to every detail of every product at Hyatt.
Reporting to the Vice President of Global Digital Product Design, this professional must be capable of serving as an internal evangelist for iterative design methodologies, possess strong visual design skills, and be able to think strategically about the acquisition, conversion, and retention of customers. This role will be heavily involved in setting strategy for user research, UX visioning for concept generation, concept testing, and concept presentation that supports and expands the current capabilities in digital marketing, product, and merchandising.
Responsibilities
Manage a team of Designers across a full portfolio of digital products.
Evangelize XP/Lean Design methodologies throughout the organization by establishing partnerships with Engineering and Product Management to design meaningful, impactful metrics-driven solutions.
Develop strategies and roadmaps while working with and managing feedback from multiple stakeholders across digital teams and executive leadership.
Lead and define overarching design patterns and systems related to end-to-end traveler journey.
Conduct user research, UX visioning for concept generation, concept testing, and concept presentation that frame user needs and align to business goals.
Be comfortable in a fast-paced, iterative, experimental, and data-driven environment.
Design elegant flows and interactions for a global audience across platforms.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrates a commitment to Hyatt core values.

Experience
13+ years of experience as an experience designer, interaction designer, product designer or similar role designing mobile, web and/or other on-device applications
Experience supporting eCommerce products, establishing human-centered design practices, and establishing lean, agile methods to deliver innovative, valuable solutions that increase conversion and drive business results.
Proven track record of delivering large-scale, strategic design initiatives with a bias toward scalable systems and patterns
Deep understanding of user experience standards, best practices, patterns, and trends.
Demonstrated experience in hypothesis-driven design, continuous learning, and experimentation
Extensive experience with prototyping to explore and convey design solutions
Ability to drive change within a design team and across a broader organization
Experience working with experiences that interact with international customers desired
Hotel or airline digital experience desired
Education
Bachelor's Degree required
Master's Degree in Human-Computer-Interaction (HCI), Product Design/Human Factors/Design preferred
Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
Design and research tools including Sketch, InVision, Adobe Creative Cloud, Mural, Axure, UserTesting and Zeplin
Microsoft Office, Jira and Confluence
