As a Visual Design consultant you will:

• Work closely and collaboratively with teams of User Experience Designers, Developers, Analysts & Product Owners to deliver new products to market
• Articulate large complex business problems and proposals into compelling visuals and inspiring stories
• Create and define brand guidelines, typographic hierarchy, and visual language for software applications
• Translate brand elements from clients to help define design systems and design direction
• Iterate on UI designs in low, medium and high fidelity
• Work with team and client to ensure visual consistency across products

You will bring:

• Knowledge and understanding of the Experience Design space, processes and competencies
• The ability to flex into areas outside of visual design; game to participate and lead research or pair with a Business Analyst on product requirements based on user and business need
• Experience working closely with developers to bring your designs to life
• An intense curiosity about the design space and how intentional design impacts everyone
• A desire to (or experience), working on a cross-functional agile team, understanding and developing workflows for users through the user interface
• Understanding how to articulate the business problem and how you got to the technical solution
• The ability to act as the bridge between creativity, business, and technology
• Strong presentation and communication skills: you will be able to present your work to clients and your team, influencing the prioritization of work
• Experience facilitating discovery phases and tough conversations
• You’re an advocate for excellence and effect change when necessary
• Self-starter — you think big and act quickly

• Past redesign experience
• Experience in mentoring
• executing Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery best practices (bonus)
• Knowledge of heuristics, and UCD and HCI theories (bonus)
