Graphics Technology Manager

Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for ensuring the administration and success of our technology systems in the
Graphics Department:
WebCenter: administration, liaise with internal tech team, with ESKO tech team where needed
Developing and administrating global plan for utilizing more capabilities of system including evaluation of online Creative Approval Tool
Color Sentry (Proactive Color Management System) : understanding development needs, interacting with developer where needed, liaise with internal tech team on needs
Meta Communications (Time-Tracking Solution): administration of system, liaise with
internal tech team, with Meta tech team where needed
Mac Technical Support needs: liaise and work closely with internal HAVI tech team on daily tech needs, and more urgent needs for Department
Planning creative technology leadership position
Testing tech solutions on various devices for graphic biz
Installing new Adobe Creative Suite enhancements ... and training team on those enhancements
Font management: not doing this today
File Server clean up and and daily management
- Future-proofing technology for Department
Determine if current solutions are best solutions
Determine, Identify and administrate a Digital Asset Management System in house, global solution
- Working with the One HAVI team
- Identifying platform for distribution of packaging graphic assets
Determine, Identify and administrate a Content Management Technology Soluution and administrate a Print Imperfection Detection Automation Solution
Desired Skills & Experience
7 – 10 years of experience
- BA or BFA in Digital/Graphic Communications, Interactive Arts & Media, Printing Technology or related field with supplementary Web Development coursework and/or trainin
Experience with data-driven printing (VDP) and web-to-print automation software (such as XMPie)
- Prior experience managing a production-based creative/technical team is a plus
- Advanced technical understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Advanced technical understanding of ESKO’S Suite of Packaging Process Management tools
- Working knowledge of Javascript and the ability to create and troubleshoot workflow scripts
- A strong print production and/or pre-press background
- Excellent troubleshooting skills related to hardware, software, and design files
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work on both Mac and PC platforms
