Position:

The Operations Manager is a pivotal role in the organization and is responsible for supporting company-wide operations. This role will identify gaps in process and systems and coordinate the work of internal teams to solve problems. They need to be a critical thinker who can analyze data and situations and make decisions geared toward the company's best interests rather than those of a single department. They will need to resolve conflicts as they arise and write best practices and guidelines for how to complete tasks.

 

The ideal candidate has an insatiable curiosity to delve into data, has a technical mindset to understand how systems fit together, and can drive process changes cross-functionally.

 

This role reports to the VP of Operations and is located in the Chicago Loop.

 

Responsibilities

  • Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Perform audits to ensure data accuracy and report findings
  • Investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues
  • Raise and track issues and conflicts, remove barriers, coordinate resolution, and resolve issues of medium complexity involving stakeholders and escalate to appropriate level when required.
  • Collect and analyze data to produce reports and responses to leadership and other constituents.
  • Anticipate and track operational and tactical risks and provides strategic solutions.
  • Participate in cross-functional quality assurance, reasonability testing and information validation testing
  • Monitor effectiveness of current data structures, reports, and procedures and identify enhancements, as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with other units/departments within the organization.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • {3 to 5} years of prior experience in operations, business analysis and/or project management preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude and understand how data flows across systems
  • Familiarity with CRMs, marketing software, and reporting platforms, such as, Salesforce, Marketo and Tableau
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong project and time management
  • Ability to spot issues early, use creative thinking to identify and solve problem, and escalate potential challenges appropriately to find solutions quickly and seamlessly
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Deadline-driven, with the ability to support multiple projects and deadlines
