Falling under the Talent Team, with collaboration with business leaders, the Instructional Designer builds highly effective learning programs for Echo Global Logistics. This position utilizes instructional design, performance improvement, and adult learning principles to analyze, design, develop, and evaluate instructional materials and programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Talent Team to identify training needs, present recommendations, and develop learning solutions to address performance gaps
  • Design, develop, and evaluate learning solutions for multiple delivery methods including instructor led, web-based, performance coaching, virtual classroom, and blended learning instruction across all departments
  • Responsible for planning, executing, and managing instructional design projects leveraging internal resources using effective project management tools and ADDIE methods
  • Oversee and coordinate projects with deadlines and target completion dates
  • Partner with various departments and SMEs to create, develop, and maintain learning content
  • Develop evaluation strategies to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of learning solutions via surveys and other validation and evaluation techniques
  • Partner with other departments in supporting interdepartmental initiatives to support companywide goals, such as acquisition onboarding
  • Ensure course materials are current, relevant to training needs, and align with program requirements and overall corporate strategies
  • Manage, grow, and expand Echo Enrichment offerings
  • Implement and build upon LMS platform by creating and maintaining content
  • Qualifications:

    • 2-5 years of relative work experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong prioritization, time management, and organizational skills; flexible to changing demands and deadlines
    • Ability to delegate tasks and manage others effectively
    • Ability to project manage large scale projects that touch various departments within the organization
    • High attention to detail while working in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various levels of the organization
    • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with various people inside and outside of the organization
    • Team player
