Manager, Product Design 

Location: Chicago, Hybrid (2-3 days per week in office) 

Envoy Global is on a mission to disrupt the global immigration process. Our patented online platform integrates the best of people and technology to streamline, simplify and expedite the immigration process for employers and individuals. 

We are seeking a Manager, Product Design to join our Tech, Product + Design team on a permanent, full time basis. As our Lead Product Designer you will be responsible for designing elegant, simple solutions to complex problems and workflows. You will create experiences for both mobile and web that surprise and delight users, by utilizing your outstanding user-experience and product design skills. 

As the successful candidate, you will be required to: 

• Design work, to be seen and experienced by thousands of people every month around the world 
• Design simple, seamless, and delightful experiences by refining product requirements and user goals into wireframes and high fidelity comps 
• Grasp and distill highly complex issues and workflows by translating them into clean, focused solutions that are intuitive to use and easy to understand 
• Develop and present design ideas in a large team environment 
• Work with other team members to create full product concepts and prototypes 
• Collaborate and work cross-functionally with other teams such as Engineering, Production, Product Marketing, and Senior Management 
• Work with key stakeholders across the company to make sure a given project meets the business and product requirements, as well as Envoy’s design standards 
• Serve in lead capacity on large, complex projects, create user experience and visual design strategy and solutions for projects based on business objectives and user research
• Define the user experience, interactions, and user interface through user flows, information architecture, sketches and wireframes, and visual design 
• Leverage user research, concept testing, usability testing and quantitative analysis to inform design decisions, as well as validate and test your designs;  
• Help maintain visual and brand consistency between all products and outlets 
• Mentor and coach team members; hire/onboard new team members as needed 

To be suitable for this role, you will possess the following: 

• 8+ years’ work experience with a focus on product design and UI across a variety of platforms including web and mobile 
• Exceptional user experience and visual design skills, including a online portfolio of work showcasing excellence in customer experience and visual design (personas, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes) 
• Demonstrated experience in best practices for information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques. 
• Sound experience designing customer experiences that simplify complex workflows 
• Experience designing products from conception to completion, including the development process 
• Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Invision and other design tools 
• Facilitate the design process, present and iterate design solutions, driven by group critique 
• Possess the ability to tell stories and share concepts, with experience working in a multidisciplinary environment to develop concepts that delight customers and deliver business results 
• Possess not just exceptional product design skills, but the ability to implement strategic and conceptual thinking as well 
• 2+ years’ experience leading and mentoring a team of gifted creatives; ability to grow and coach team members while also successfully executing own projects 
• Strong information presentation (visual and written) skills; outstanding written and verbal communications  
• Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline - highly desirable
