Role overview
We're looking for a talented Middleweight Designer with a passion for digital and the dedication to producing cutting edge campaign work. You will be an enthusiastic creative with a grounding in design fundamentals. Working within multiple channels from web and social to digital outdoor, the ideal candidate should have an eye for impactful and considered design, possess excellent animation skills and be able to translate project requirements into beautifully crafted, eye-catching and compelling creative.
You will be joining a team of multi-skilled digital creatives - accustomed to creating cut-through campaigns and crafting social content for some of the country’s most recognisable brands. Our work is showcased by the likes of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as best-in-market. As a midweight you will be surrounded by a supportive team, who will be keen to develop your skills and understanding, while delivering award-winning work.
Working closely with other designers and disciplines, you will help execute projects of all sizes and complete them with resourcefulness and dedication. You will use your strong digital knowledge to take the initiative to challenge briefs and exceed expectations, while working on one of our largest flagship client accounts.
We will expect applicants to have experience using animation as part of their work. The majority of our creative outputs involve some element of motion graphics; so having experience and evidence of Adobe After Effects skills will be important.
Primary skills and responsibilities
- Have a strong eye for detail that enables you to produce visual concepts and design work for web, social, display and outdoor display. Conceptual thinking alongside design craft is required.
- Create considered storyboards, sketches and scamps to pre-visualise ideas for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Work alongside content and UX Designers to translate wireframes into considered web pages.
- Follow and apply existing brand guidelines and art direction to the visual elements of creative design.
- Assist and support senior creatives in campaign concepting and production.
- Work closely with the wider creative team, copywriters and strategic teams to produce compelling content that tells a perfect story.
- Follow and successfully interpret direction and feedback from senior creatives and clients.
- Have good presentation skills to help fire the imagination of new and existing clients.
- Act as a point of accountability for the quality of design work for clients and be a point of contact in the design process at every stage of the project.
- Demonstrate multi-tasking and effective time management capability.
- Work effectively and efficiently within Adobe software, ensuring your file management is well structured and considered.
- Have a good understanding of current design and media trends and apply this to your work.

Requirements
- Excellent visual design skills with an eye for detail.
- Master of Adobe Creative Suite; After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop. Knowledge of Sketch and Figma is a bonus.
- A strong portfolio showing a range of cross-platform digital work.
- Experience creating motion graphics content.
