FLASH is seeking a Product Design Lead to drive the transformation and evolution of our digital solutions. In this role, you will lead Product Design with a focus on elevating user experiences, solving real-world problems and helping users seamlessly get to their destination - across our B2C and B2B offerings. You will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Developers, Data Analysts, and functional leaders from marketing, sales, and business development. This is a high impact role - reporting into the VP of Product - that requires the ability to solve problems with the end user at the forefront.

What you'll do

  • Mentor and empower Product Designers throughout the product development process
  • Contribute to and help establish our design system
  • Iterate and respond to ideas for innovation and improvements based on data, research, analysis, or competitive reviews
  • Work with developers to discuss experiences, animations, asset handoff, tradeoffs and other needs in the delivery process
  • Communicate your design decisions to stakeholders
  • Contribute to high-level strategic decisions within the Product team
  • Own experiences from discovery through delivery including participation in user research, concepting, mockup creation, delivery to developers, and Visual QA

What we're looking for

  • Ability to manage Product Design operations including leading design processes and building design systems
  • Desire to build and scale the Design Team as we continue to grow and create seamless user experiences in the mobility space
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to spread user empathy throughout the organization 
  • Prior experience on a product team - designing native applications
  • Ability to drive the prioritization and coordination of design work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with the execution of user research methods including user interviews, usability studies, survey creation and analysis, and diary studies 
  • Ability to create UX deliverables including user journeys, user flows, competitive analyses, prototypes, etc.
  • Execution of high-fidelity mockups and the ability to deliver designs to developers for devices or platforms with varying technical needs 
  • Expertise with design tools such as Sketch and Zeplin, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with style guides and design systems
  • A portfolio demonstrating clean execution of product solutions is required. The ability to communicate design decisions is a must

Nice to haves

  • Experience working with Data teams
  • Degree in Design, HCI, or related disciplines
