Your impact. 

As the Lead Product Designer, we want you to produce high-quality, beautiful application experiences. You should have the ability to turn product needs into elegant and functional solutions, in collaboration with product and software engineering teams. As a leader and example-setter you should be more effective when you're not even in the room. Your processes will be celebrated, emulated and copied by teams throughout the organization.

Reporting directly into the VP of Product, your primary focus will be building the next-generation of our mobile app and web solution by managing the entire design process. You will lead and manage the health and success of a small, distributed team of talented designers. You will guide the team to develop best practices for ensuring a high bar of quality.

Almost every adult in America has had a negative experience interacting with their health benefits. You will design the HealthJoy experience that takes people at their most vulnerable and not only delivers magic at scale, but does so while also replacing something deeply dysfunctional.

Your experience. 

  • 7-10 years experience in end-to-end product design
  • Experience in a people management role within a Design team
  • Experience working collaboratively with users and cross-functional team members
  • A communicator who knows how to influence stakeholders throughout the design journey.
  • History of creating amazing customer experiences
  • Fast-paced, self-motivated and resilient to life at a startup
  • Experienced in translating product ideas into wireframes and UI specs
  • Fluent in design tools needed to build tech products
  • Online portfolio with app and web design samples
  • Righteous layout and typography skills
  • Pixel-perfect eye for detail
