Summary
As Product Designer, you will be responsible for applying Product Design best practices to innovate, envision and support digital experiences on web, mobile web, and native app platforms. The Product Designer will define and design user interfaces, architecture, and the interaction and visual design patterns for end-to-end digital guest experiences, working collaboratively with Engineering and Product to elevate and evolve the design practice. The ideal candidate is a creative, passionate, pragmatic thinker that can identify opportunities to solve problems and analyze customer behaviors to create innovative experiences in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have experience breaking down walls between design, engineering, and product. This professional will play a pivotal role in making sure design has a seat at the table throughout the product lifecycle of a cross-functional product team. This role will partner closely with engineering and product management peers, as well as data analytics to elevate the global guest experience across Hyatt's web and mobile products.
Responsibilities
Works collaboratively with Engineering and Product Management, to elevate and evolve the customer experience and deliver useful, usable and delightful experiences to guests. Consistently and clearly communicate status to Digital leadership and business stakeholders.
Make recommendations, for conducting planning, competitive analyses and strategy; Executed research and makes recommendations for new and existing offering
and solutions based on business cases, roadmaps and budgets.
Explores new design patterns and practices, enhancing methodological toolkit to enhance and improve the website and app customer experience. Optimize digital experiences through use of UX best practices, trends, conversion metrics, testing and design patterns and the delivery of digital assets.
Lead the innovation, development and delivery of digital, customer-facing, data-driven prototypes, wireframes and designs for the Hyatt website and mobile app, including concepting and developing new interface flows, visual comps and interactions for global and local customer needs.
Manages multiple projects simultaneously and supports the team's design and tech backlog.
Creates and tests low and high-fidelity prototypes to capture guest motivations, goals, and feedback to inform design direction; validate advanced user experiences driven by emerging technology.

Qualifications
3+ years of experience as an experience designer, interaction designer, product designer or similar role designing mobile, web and/or other on-device applications.
Strong web, mobile web & native app experience. B2C preferred.
Experience working with engineering and product teams to drive design thinking and lean/agile best practices and tools.
Demonstrated experience in hypothesis-driven, continuous learning and Experience evolving the design and discovery process of modern product development with qualitative and quantitative research insights.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams to foster healthy and high performing teams based on technical feasibility, business viability, and customer desirability.
Education
Bachelor's Degree required
