Who We Are:

We believe a workplace food program is something employees should love and look forward to every day. Powered by technology and a network of over 1,000 restaurants and 800+ clients, Fooda feeds hungry people at work through our ongoing food programs located within companies and office buildings. Every day, each Fooda location is served by different restaurants that come onsite and serve fresh lunch from their chef’s unique menus. Now with over 30 million meals sold, Fooda operates in nineteen major US cities and plans for continued expansion.

About the Team:

Our engineering team of 33 engineers, PMs and data scientists is building a platform that powers a dynamic marketplace disrupting the way people get their lunch. Alongside our two Product Designers, you will have the opportunity to design a number of different products and tools that fall under the Fooda umbrella. You will have the benefit of designing for multiple types of users with different needs (internal employees, restaurant partners, accounts, and consumers) and for products that fall across native mobile apps, mobile web and desktop. An Insider's view of Fooda

What’s the vibe like in the office?

In one word, I would say the vibe in our office is 'Hungry'. Hungry because every person in here is driven to grow this company as quickly and effectively as possible, and you can feel that energy when you walk in the door. Hungry also because there is food everywhere all the time.

John

Business Development Manager

What projects are you most excited about?

One of the most exciting features on the horizon is Order Ahead for our popups. Order Ahead is a game changer for professionals on the go, giving them the ability to bypass unpredictable lines. It’s a huge challenge, some companies (including Starbucks) took years perfecting their programs into well-oiled machine. We’re up for the challenge!

Bri

Senior Product Manager

How does the company support your career growth?

Within the engineering department at Fooda, there are two career tracks - technical and management. On the technical track you'll learn how to solve challenging computer science problems. On the management track you'll learn how to lead a team of people. Engineering managers at Fooda do a great job guiding you down whichever path you choose.

Jake

Senior Software Engineer

How do your team's ideas influence the company's direction?

We set annual goals for the company and measure ourselves against them. With this as the guide, we expect our teams to identify and advocate for ideas that get us there. I can point to ideas from teams all over the company - technology, sales, account management - that became an impactful part of our business strategy or technology platform.

Jason

Chief Product Officer

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

When I joined Fooda, my goal was to memorize all of our 100+ partners. Five years later, I’m managing a team of 6 people and we manage the daily operations for 100+ events per day! I’m so grateful that in such a short time I've been able to grow personally and professionally with Fooda. My mantra – the work doesn’t get easier, you just get better!
