We're looking for a Senior Design Researcher to join our interdisciplinary Growth Design Team of strategists, designers, and researchers at Kalderos. The Growth Design team fuels our organization's disruption of the healthcare industry through data to identify, prioritize, and plan growth initiatives, drive product and service innovation, and create organizational alignment towards our growth goals.
What Impact You’ll Have:
Shape and Define Growth Opportunities: You’ll partner closely with a cross-functional team to discover and define how Kalderos should approach new growth and innovation opportunities.
Lead Research Activities: You’ll be responsible for defining, coordinating, and executing research activities, including occasionally creating research stimuli.
Make Insights Impactful: You’ll make researching findings relevant, impactful, and actionable to the team and organization through
Scale Our Research Capabilities: You’ll help to define and grow how design research is done at Kalderos. This might include the creation of a methods toolkit, identifying new tools and techniques, or providing support to team members trying to build their design research skills.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience leading and executing qualitative research (scoping, recruiting, executing)
- Ability to lead synthesis, gather insights, and inspire design
- Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and recommend research methodologies to address business questions
- Ability to balance business growth and user issues
- Experience creating assets (e.g. journey maps, flows, principles) to help guide design direction and exploration
- Experience applying a human-centered design process to innovation and
- Ability to create research stimuli (including prototypes at varying fidelities) or the desire to learn how
- Comfort and ability to be flexible in your role -- exercise a balance between research and inspiration
- An openness to critique from team members and a desire to improve yourself
- Comfort in navigating ambiguity within a self-directed environment
Set Yourself Apart:
- Experience executing research in an enterprise or B2B organization. Specifically, you’ve led the coordination of communication and research activities with B2B clients and customers.
- Experience executing generative research on B2C software products
- Experience (or strong interest) in working on projects with diverse and inclusive participants (e.g. elderly or low income patients)
- Experience within healthcare, healthcare tech, and fintech industries
- Experience leading and executing quantitative research (scoping, recruiting, executing)
- An interest in learning about new tools that can help us level up our capabilities
- You have experience in communicating and building the value of design research within an organization
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in a design or design-related role
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as design research, design planning/strategy, product design, design engineering, social sciences, behavioral sciences, etc. Master’s degree in design related field is preferred
- Excellent presentation, communication, and organization skills
- High level of skill in a variety of design applications (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Keynote, Figma, InVision); experience with motion graphics and prototyping software is a plus.
- Ability to travel domestically
