Senior Designer, Motion Graphics

As a Senior Designer in motion graphics, you’ll be a leader in developing 4D storytelling from pre-production through the edit that make the Relativity message and its brand shine. You’ll be responsible for understanding project goals, how they further the business, and how your creative solutions help achieve them. The strong relationships you build with stakeholders, internal clients, and teammates makes you a partner in goal setting and achievement. Your contributions will evolve the style, techniques, and point of view of the Relativity brand, notably in the fields of motion graphics, audio, and cinematography.
Role Responsibilities
- Strategize with Relativity teams to conceptualize new and iterate on existing deliverables for varying channels (including digital, print, and experiential media) and in support of product releases, events, campaigns, evolving brand standards, and thought leadership
- Represent the multimedia team in project meetings
- Successfully manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously; determine the appropriate level of effort to achieve project goals and sustain workload; assemble working teams across Relativity to efficiently deliver effective work; demonstrate strong planning skills by setting and meeting realistic deadlines
- Mentor creative team members by reviewing and giving feedback on their work; train them on more advanced ways to use creative tools
- Demonstrate strong ideation and storyboarding skills; pitch and defend work to team members backed by experience and research; effectively negotiate solutions that are in the best interest of the project and Relativity brand
- Work with the web, social, and lead generation teams to plan and execute on the distribution of work; set goals; and measure the success of work
- Work closely with freelancers and vendors to ensure brand consistency across external channels
- Stay updated on industry trends, customer segments, and other product-related information; share this information with creative team members to increase the creative team’s overall competency
Qualifications
- 3-6 years’ experience in managing large-scale projects with assets in multiple channels (print, digital, and experiential design)
- Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Basic knowledge in video recording and gear; advanced knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Audition, Premiere)
- Intermediate knowledge in traditional animation methods
- Advanced knowledge in vendor relations, front-end digital standards, and core visual art
- Intermediate knowledge of UX and back-end development languages and concepts
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Meticulous attention to detail in the creation and iteration of work product
- Ability to rough-sketch storyboards and solutions via paper or whiteboard in a group environment
- Ability to gather and streamline feedback and effectively apply it to revisions and future work
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-drive, team environment with quickly shifting priorities
