Job Description
As a Senior Manager of UX Design, you’ll inspire a team of designers to create the next generation of public safety applications. You will provide leadership and direction to bring out the best in your team and mentor them through their career growth. You will be championing human-centered design best practices and infusing that into the overall product development process. You will collaborate with leaders of the global UX team, Product Management, and Engineering teams to define product roadmaps and ensure design quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Manage and mentor a team of user experience designers as part of a larger UX design team located across the globe, coaching, directing and unblocking as needed, to produce great work that delights customers and achieves business goals.
Proactively seek out strategic partnerships across organizations at every level, build strong relationships with product, technology and business stakeholders.
Collaborate with UX researchers and product managers to take insights from the field and ideate, prototype, and deliver designs to development teams to make them a reality.
Optimize internal design processes and allocate resources to meet project timelines.
Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, design tools, and standards.
Work with product managers to influence product strategy and to ensure user-centric and design-led product development.
Ensure product success by creating intuitive, delightful, and high-performance user interfaces.
Evangelize and evolve our UX practice, culture and craft, lead design meetings and actively participate in design reviews and design direction.
Regularly and actively engage team members in career management conversions, charting a path and providing tools to develop skills as well as create new growth opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS:
10+ years of professional experience in UX design, preferably at a company focused on designing and delivering SaaS solutions.
6+ years experience managing a UX design team with a track record managing and inspiring people to achieve their maximum potential.
Strong organizational and influencing skills across teams, ability to engage stakeholders, to understand change readiness, manage differences and create buy-in
Bachelor's degree in industrial design, UX/interaction design, or another design-related field.
Experience working in direct collaboration with product managers, developers, and stakeholders for the implementation of designs.
Incredible problem solving, design skills, and product sense that inspire the teams you lead.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Effectiveness in working across organizational boundaries and distributed teams to define, manage, and prioritize work.
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
Experience in ownership of projects and communicating timelines and executing independently.
