SpotHero is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead design for a consumer facing area. This crucial role will make a transformational impact on our business by improving customer experiences across web, iOS and Android.

- Added 300+ new events and venue partners, including the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks; PPG Paints Arena, home of the Pittsburgh Penguins; Fiserv Forum, home of the Milwaukee Bucks; and the American Airlines Arena, home of the Miami Heat
Our Product Design Team solves incredibly hard problems each and every day to create the best experience for our customers. We marry user research—both qualitative and quantitative—with fast-paced execution to form a user, data, and design-centric culture.
What will you do?
- Create holistic design solutions for one of our consumer verticals that address business and user requirements by considering the entire customer experience
- Communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and specifics of the user-centered design process within a cross-functional team
- Glean insights about our current and future users from qualitative and quantitative research
- Design user research and usability studies, collect and react to user feedback
- Formulate and test hypotheses based on user research and behavioral analytics
- Work directly with your product manager and engineering team to define UX and UI requirements that create a consistent experience across channels and products
- Create user flows, design documentation, prototypes, high-fidelity mocks, and other UX deliverables
- Create thoughtful A/B tests and growth experiments through innovative design solutions
- Collaborate on our evolving style guides

Prerequisites
- Have a portfolio that showcases your design process, thinking & execution (Please include specific examples of UI, UX, and mobile project work)
- Solid understanding of the design process, information architecture, usability, and heuristics
- Must have a firm understanding of different UI constructs
- Knowledge and efficiency with UI design tools - InVision and Sketch preferred
- 5+ years professional experience designing web applications and native apps

SpotHero is looking for a Senior level Full Stack Engineer who will contribute to our main consumer-based codebase following a set of standard, while successfully completing stories that complete our 2020 Marketing initiatives. You will partner with a Product Manager and Product Designer to ensure requirements are defined correctly. You will collaborate with other Senior Engineers to define solutions, ensure project deadlines are successfully met, and effectively communicate with the entire Consumer Marketing Squad members and internal stakeholders. Our Stack is: Monolith using Django/Python, the Frontend is React. We also have started on a journey to extract specific domains to services currently using Java, Kotlin, and Go. Our Database is Postgres and Redis for caching. We also use Docker, Kubernetes, and Kafka.

What will you do:
- Work directly with the Marketing team to build out a new service/module/feature that will revolutionize how our best customers interface with SpotHero.
- Identify, design, develop, test, and release high-quality functionality as efficiently as possible.
- Work collaboratively with the rest of the team to deliver software with a focus on quality, speed, security, and analytics.
- Independently identify areas for improvement and innovation within our ecosystem, and lead the charge on making those changes.
- If applicable, move existing features from our monolithic codebase into new services that run on Kubernetes using technologies like gRPC, Airflow, and Kinesis.
- Be a key hands-on contributor to the design and implementation of new products and features through the entire stack.
The following experience is relevant to us:

- You can go up and down the stack from infrastructure through the application layer all the way up to front-end client libraries.

- You have at least 5 years of hands-on experience as an Engineer across multiple environments preferably with Python, Kotlin, Java, Javascript, HTML, CSS/SASS, and/or Go.
