Senior User Researcher, Growth
About the role
Put members first - that’s the User Research team’s north star. We’re looking for a Senior User Researcher to join our Growth Research team. We’re looking for someone who is excited to apply their quantitative research skills to deepen our understanding of how Chime’s member base is growing and evolving over time. Your research will look at what brings members to Chime, the factors that drive their use and engagement, and the challenges they face along their journey. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively, with qualitative and mixed methods researchers on our User Research team as well as cross-functional partners in Product Management, Design, Analytics, Data Science, and more.Â
For Colorado based roles:Â In accordance with applicable law, this role has an annual starting salary of $142,500 plus bonus, a competitive equity package, and benefits (see below). The actual pay may be higher depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
- Conduct thoughtful and rigorous research that informs strategy and product. You’ll contribute to building a quantitative research foundation on the team.Â
- Define a research roadmap that addresses complex and ambiguous spaces with clear and impactful research questions.
- Identify, choose, and apply the best research method for the questions at hand.Â
- Collaborate with other user researchers and a wide range cross-functional partners.Â
- Make trade-offs and prioritize across various business goals and stakeholder asks.
- Communicate research results in a digestible and impactful manner.
- Be a valued part of our Chime research team - a quickly growing group of caring and compassionate researchers.
To thrive in this role, you have
- 4+ years of experience conducting research in an applied or academic setting.
- End-to-end research experience with ownership over all aspects of the research process including scoping, data collection/selection, analysis, and communication of results.
- Survey research training or experience. You’ve applied or are familiar with survey science best practices around instrument design, sampling, and non-response bias correction.Â
- Quantitative research methodologies including regression modeling and longitudinal analysis (e.g., fixed effects, survival analysis). Experience conducting non-experimental causal inference is a plus.
- Proficiency in statistical coding language(s) (R (preferred), Stata, SAS, and/or Python).
- Ability to communicate technical results in non-technical terms.
