WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Staffed on the Reliability team, you will be charged with becoming an expert in software quality and risk mitigation strategy as well as growing the central knowledge base of the team.
  • Design and document test framework technical specifications for software engineers
  • Gain knowledge of the entire system and recognize pain points and gaps in test coverage
  • Break down high-level requirements into detailed components
  • Define metrics and processes that can be used to validate projects are ready to be released
  • Define granular development tasks based on design prototypes and test whether results meet stated requirements
  • Leverage technical and business domain knowledge to improve your product’s features and underlying architecture
  • Guide your team through Agile sprints to build or configure functionality within your product area
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to plan, organize, and prioritize your team’s design and development work

Requirements

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in software design. 1-2 years of work experience is strongly desired.
  • You have prior software test automation experience or an interest in learning software development concepts and working with data models.
  • Prior experience in a Software Quality Assurance role is strongly preferred.
  • You are skilled in bridging the communication gap between teams, contributors and leadership within a larger organizational ecosystem
  • You are a creative and proactive problem solver and feel comfortable proposing multiple solutions to a variety of issues in a real-world environment
  • You have experience juggling multiple priorities and overlapping project timelines
  • You understand the software development life cycle and development methodologies such as agile, waterfall and lean
  • You have demonstrated experience driving & executing on use cases, test cases, and sequence diagrams
  • You are self-motivated and have experience maintaining your workflow independently
  • You are enthusiastic about the details of how different parts of a complex software system fit together, and becoming an expert in those details
