Announced in May 2018, Peapod Digital Labs (PDL) is an Ahold Delhaize USA company that powers the eCommerce and digital strategies for the Great Local Brands of Ahold Delhaize USA. Accelerating growth in digital and personalization capabilities, PDL is an innovation lab focused on meeting the changing needs of customers, regardless of when, where, and how consumers choose to shop.  

Peapod continues to be a consumer-facing eCommerce brand, and is part of Peapod Digital Labs, focused on growing Peapod sales to consumers.   

Recipe for Success - What's “in store” for the role   

• Effectively collaborate with key stakeholders to translate user needs and business goals into actionable designs 
  and engaging content. 

• Work with UX Designers, Business Analysts and Developers to develop and iterate a visual design that 
  exceeds goals of each project. 

• Partner with Creative Services Lead to design and implement on-going A/B testing and consolidate test results; 
  summarize and cascade insights to broader team to improve in-house, institutional knowledge 

• Recommend and implement updates to the design style guide to ensure delivery of consistent, on-brand design 
  principles across all channels and categories. 

• Maintain JIRA system expertise, providing guidance to other business users as needed. 

• Share subject matter expertise with the broader team via formal and informal means to help drive a mindset of 
  ‘design matters’. 

• Assist executive team members with occasional presentation preparation and general support. 

The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients 

• Professional-level design software proficiency (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.); Basic 
  understanding of web design tools including HTML, DHTML, CSS/CSSX, Flash 

• Bachelor’s Degree within a related field 

• 2-4 years of experience directly related to the specific role. 

• Strong oral / written communication skills 

• Works well in a fast paced environment

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 

• Works effectively in a team environment. Gets along well with others and prioritizes 
  team/business goals 

• Flexible and adaptable to occasional changes in business requests and able to provide 
  smart solutions to design challenges in a short time frame.

Bachelor of Arts or better in Graphic Design or related field.
