This is a part-time, temporary need. We are anticipating 20-30 hours/a week through the end of the year. We are Chicago based, but open to out of state candidates.

 

At closerlook, inc., the User Experience Designer (Temporary) translates client needs, requirements, content strategy and business opportunities into digital solutions to user experience problems in the pharma industry.

 

As a member of the Creative Group, the User Experience Designer (Temporary) is involved in cross-competency collaboration, working closely with other creative team members, as well as Strategists and Developers to ensure the projects we develop achieve our clients’ communication objectives and meet technical requirements.

 

The User Experience Designer (Temporary) assists in the development of all projects on his or her assigned accounts and reports to the Digital Design Director.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitates and leads cross-competency whiteboarding sessions
  • Translates content strategy and analytics documentation into creative wireframes
  • Creates site maps, user flows, personas and prototypes while applying user experience best practices
  • Produces standard, hi-fidelity and functioning wireframes for large, medium and small screens
  • Provides oversight and serves as a liaison between strategy, creative and tech teams
  • Provides the interaction annotations and other deliverables for the development phase
  • Prepare stimuli documentation for user testings
  • Collaborate with visual design teams on documenting design systems
  • Provides recommendations with strong rationale and founded on user experience and pharma marketing best practices

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • College or university degree in HCI, Interaction Design or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years experience creating site maps, wireframes and related deliverables
  • Must be creative-minded, proactive problem solver, have a self-starter attitude, and a good team player
  • Experience implementing content strategy in interactive projects
  • Understanding of current and emerging digital technologies and user experience best practices
  • Provide examples that demonstrate a clear understanding of content hierarchy
  • Working knowledge of responsive design, adaptive experiences and agile methodologies
  • Must understand and be able to articulate functionality for website or mobile apps
  • Experience with conducting and facilitating user interviews
  • Clear, effective oral and written communication and listening skills
  • Approach interaction design with empathy for the user
  • Experience and concentration on professional user types
  • Ability to provide recommendations rooted in industry standards and research
  • Experience with rapid prototyping
  • Working knowledge of iOS and app development
  • Agency experience preferred (as opposed to solely freelance)
  • Marketing background is a plus
  • Experience in pharma, healthcare or other regulated industries is a plus
