The Role:

We’re looking for a Human-Centered experience expert that will build the best customer experience around our core product. Owning the Customer Journey, overseeing the development of our UI and creating the support mechanisms for users will be your core responsibilities with us.  This is an opportunity to get in at the earliest stage of a fast growing startup and help set the bar for an amazing customer experience. This is the job for you if you are ambitious and have a diverse set of skills.

The Objectives:

  • Develop a customer journey to guide the design efforts around our product launch

  • Oversee the team of programmers that are developing the app, owning the content creation workstreams and incorporating content that the rest of the team generates

  • Build the customer support team and capabilities,  determine mechanisms for that support, outline support content and structure the workflow

  • Manage company engagement with reviewers

  • Create our online store for gardening supplies. Top-to-bottom creation of the online store including sourcing, storage and delivery.

The Company

Our founder, Hank Adams, is an experienced entrepreneur who built his career in technology and spent his free time gardening.  After selling a sports technology business in 2017, he combined these two loves and set out to build a beautiful, affordable and productive indoor vegetable gardener system.  His mission is to connect people to the food they eat, to help them to grow more of their own food and to inspire them to be conscientious food consumers.

There are 41 million gardeners in the US alone and hundreds of millions young adults who care passionately about the provenance and nutritional value of their food.  The majority of them are constrained in what they can grow by short growing seasons, limited time and limited physical space in urban environments. With the movement towards sustainable food systems and local food production, there is a market for home hydroponic gardening systems for mass consumption that make a complicated process easy, productive and fun.

The Harvest₂O unit has been designed to be elegant and make the owner proud to set one up in their dining room, kitchen or sun room.   Today, we’re refining our fourth prototype and getting it ready for the market. We’ve iterated tirelessly to reach our first ready-for-market version. Validated by customers and buyers, our v4.0 is ready to revolutionize the concept of the farm-to-table food.

What we look for

Required:

  • 2 - 5 years of experience in UI and UX

  • Experienced in developing an app-based user experience

  • Experienced leading projects with low levels of oversight

  • Comfortable to step out of your formal role and help the other team-members (i.e.: trade shows, workshop chores, etc.)
