Position Description

You are passionate about the customer experience and good design.  You are comfortable with crafting and advocating for good design principles.  You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and have the confidence to guide our organization towards well designed product offerings.  You are eager to partner with Product and Engineering and Analytics to do research, create designs, and get them shipped.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be the first User Experience (UX) expert on the team.  You will work closely with the Product team, the Engineering team, and the Analytics team to design best in class solutions for our customers. On a day-to-day basis you might expect to be doing the following:

• Helping the product team conduct research, talk to customers, and create design mocks
• Creating design elements that can be used across Pareto’s product offerings
• Produce low-fi and high-fi designs for various uses
• Work with the Product team to conduct user research on new features and projects
• Help to translate research results and other user input into prototypes
• Collaborate with engineering on design implementation
• Assist QA team with validating design elements and providing feedback to engineers

Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of designing technology products
• Proficient in design tools like Figma and Sketch
• A portfolio that demonstrates superior design skills and ability in B2B software
• Experience designing Big Data powered products
• Strong experience with data visualizations
• Experience performing customer research using a variety of techniques (interviews, prototypes, field studies, usability testing)

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Passionate about design and design thinking
• Experience starting and growing a UX team
• Experience in the Healthcare industry, specifically with Provider and Payer customers
• Experience designing for a variety of customer types, from very technical to very business focused
