Purpose of the Role:
Manages the UX Function partnering closely with the product team, engineers, and our business partner to enable the highest functioning website possible. Consistent, easy to use, and researched functions are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mobile and web interaction flow and information architecture in the creation of site maps, hierarchies, categorizations, navigation, and metadata.
- Develop conceptual diagrams, personas, customer journey maps, wireframes, storyboards, and low-fidelity prototypes that communicate high-level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviors.
- Create and rapidly iterate on ideas and develop them via storyboards, user flows, mock-ups, and prototypes, or other methods.
- Use insights gathered from in-depth interviews, focus groups, analytics, usability testing, and A/B testing to inform deliverables.
- Provide design leadership to technical teams by hosting ongoing application reviews and promoting a shared understanding of the customer-centric intersection between design, business, and technology.
- Demonstrate a strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, and web-based and mobile information architecture and design.
- Work effectively in an iterative, agile environment and collaborate with product owners, engineers, and designers to define and produce solutions.
- Manage other user experience team members including coaching, mentoring and ensuring their work product meets quality standards
- Responsible for annual reviews, salary adjustments, and team support of direct reports

Education and Experience:
- Bachelors or MS degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience as an interactive/user experience designer.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with responsive web and mobile applications.
