Description:

EmployBridge is embarking on a variety of ambitious projects. You will play a key role in new initiatives and the refinement of existing solutions. You will be a conduit from our users directly to our design, product, and engineering teams. You will enable us to consistently deliver experiences that our users love, because we deeply understand them and their needs. Your research will be agile, keeping pace with the rapid innovation in the team, but also making sure that we're keeping an eye on the big picture in understanding our three primary user groups: recruiters, associates, and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Champion research: methods, benefits, planning, standards, outcomes
• Assist planning, designing, and leading research that informs business, product and design decisions for multiple product areas
• Identify and recommend the best methods to answer research questions
• Create a deep understanding and empathy for our target customers through primary field research, behavioral analysis, and/or secondary research
• Use storytelling to frame insights in a way that inspires product, design, and technology teams to develop imaginative and appropriate solutions
• Understand competitor products and industry trends
• Find creative ways to continuously learn from our internal and external users
• Collaborate with partners across multiple teams to identify and define user research needs
• Contribute to maintaining research learnings in a centralized location that can be shared across teams

Requirements:

• Experience contributing to planning, executing and analyzing qual, quant and mixed method studies, which may include interviews, surveys, ideation sessions, ethnographic field research, usability evaluation, statistical modeling, and diary studies
• Proven experience in uncovering unmet user needs, and unpacking meaning from sometimes obscure and disparate findings.
• Experience contributing to design thinking / co-creation/ design workshops that take stakeholders through the design thinking process to frame a project
• Ability to tell stories when delivering insights about people and behavior - verbally and visually - in a way that generates empathy, emotion, and engagement from the design team as well as engineering, product management, marketing and others.
• Experience collaborating on new products or features from conception to launch
• Ability to manage ambiguity, work with limited oversight, keep organized, and multitask in an agile environment
• Pragmatic bias for action, always trying to seek the most expedient path to get the insights needed without compromising on findings or integrity
• A portfolio demonstrating past work experience, deliverables, and extraction of actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative data
• 2+ years of experience conducting UX/User/Design Research, including experience informing product strategies and integrating user research into product designs
• BS degree in Social Sciences, HCI, Cognitive Psychology or similar areas (Master’s degree a plus) or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years experience working at a software development (or similar) company
