Visual Design Senior Consultant - Chicago & NYC
Doblin (part of Customer Strategy & Applied Design) is looking for skilled designers to join our growing team. The Visual Design Senior Consultant directs the overall synthesis and design direction for new offerings or businesses as part of Doblin innovation and digital delivery teams. Core work includes defining and visualizing strategic options as well as new products, services and digital solutions.
Work You'll Do:
Engaging client stakeholders and internal teams through the process of exploring new business opportunities
Defining the visual direction for of new offerings and businesses
Interpreting and communicating diverse user, market and organizational inputs and their implications for new offerings
Defining prototyping requirements and designing visual prototypes
Providing feedback, support and mentorship to more junior design team members
Representing the design discipline and its value to non-designers internally and at client organizations

Our team of professionals has deep capabilities in strategy, customer experience, digital strategy and innovation.

- Customer Strategy| Help clients build capabilities to better understand customer value drivers and make choices about the markets and segments they serve through digital, social, and mobile channels; optimize pricing decisions and shape the most strategic issues on the CMO agenda
- Customer Experience | Help clients improve the quality, nature and power of interactions between the customer and the organization across the lifecycle of sales, marketing and service at each and every touch point.
- Applied Innovation | Help clients rapidly design, prototype and launch new businesses and experiences, translating insights on human behavior from design-led methods into offerings and technologies that delight customers and drive growth
- Digital Strategy | Help clients understand, envision and articulate “digital” as a business strategy aligned with their CEO’s agenda – and then craft a plan to embed everything they do with the latest technology solutions and business models to compete in the marketplace for customers and talent
Technical proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, etc.
Graduate degree in design, design strategy, human-centered design or equivalent experience
5-7 years of work experience in a relevant field, including consulting or entrepreneurial environments in which new concepts, products or businesses were explored
A passion for and expertise in the innovation process and the role that both strategic and formal design play in the process
Interest in travel at least 50%
