Position Overview
The Visual Designer will be an integral member of the design team, supporting projects and initiatives across Learning and Development. The Visual Designer will collaborate with the Multimedia Team and Instructional Designers to develop best-in-class content in a variety of digital and print formats.

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to design consistent, impactful, and compelling graphics and user experiences.
  • Contribute to an environment of constant innovation using design thinking to solve problems and improve processes, techniques, and approaches.
  • Verbally articulate visual concepts and participate in collaborative design sessions
  • Turning concepts into graphic elements, distilling technical documents into simple visual elements to aid in producing multimedia and brand development.
  • Seeking stakeholder approval for ideas with rough visuals - using drawing, sketching, storyboarding, painting, and photographic skills to produce graphics, visuals, and illustrations.
  • Execute on all phases of the design process from wireframing concepts and mocks to final hand-off to stakeholders including, Instructional Designers and Multimedia team members.
  • Present work, ask questions and apply feedback as the subject matter expert on design in the digital and user experience space.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to create, implement, and evolve our design templates and libraries in learning, digital, and print formats.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Web Design or similar discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience
  • Expert-level knowledge of core Adobe Creative Suite components including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Working knowledge of Premier and/or After Effects is a plus.
  • Understanding of image manipulation, typography, color and balance, illustration, and best design practices.
  • Understanding of color contrast and all ADA compliance requirements preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • A portfolio review of work samples demonstrating samples of design, branding, illustrations, visual communication, visual reporting, print and digital collateral design, visual storytelling, and the like will be required for this role.

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position in Colorado is $63,496 - 94,083/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
