- The Development and Communications Associate at Alivio Medical Center will play a crucial role in enhancing the organization's visibility and supporting its fundraising efforts. This position is responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that effectively convey the mission and impact of Alivio Medical Center to various stakeholders, including donors, patients, and the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the development team to create and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies that align with the organization's goals.
- Develop and manage content for various communication platforms, including newsletters, social media, press releases, and the organization's website.
- Coordinate and oversee special events and campaigns to engage donors and increase community awareness.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with media contacts, ensuring positive and consistent coverage of the organization's initiatives and achievements.
- Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and reports to secure funding from foundations and other sources.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Support the development of marketing materials and promotional content to enhance the organization's brand and outreach efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with the organization's mission and values.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a communications, public relations, or development role.
- Proven track record of successful project management in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the healthcare or non-profit sector is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in managing social media platforms and digital content creation.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of creativity and problem-solving skills.
