ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a DevOps engineer with experience with Open Source Technologies (Centos, ngnix) and Amazon Web Services. In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with 4C software engineers to deploy and operate our systems. 4C's infrastructure is a mix of Amazon Web Services as well as dedicated Servers hosted at Steadfast & Digital Reality (Telx)
RESPONSIBILITIES, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintaining the high availability of our software and services.
- Automate and streamline our operations and processes.
- Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments.
- Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
- Experience with automation/configuration management using Chef or an equivalent
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services
- Proficient with Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3)
- Strong experience with MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDB, Elasticsearch and Redis
- A solid understanding of Python code as well as SQLAlchemy + Flask
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
- Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, HipChat, Github, Chef, Puppet
- 4+ years professional work experience
- Experience with microservices and high availability deployments would be a plus
