Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation:       $78,500.00 - $98,000.00 (Range applies to US candidates only) + Benefits/Variable Comp/Equity - Range may vary based on experience.

Summary

The Digital Editor & Writer – Voice & Tone Lead is responsible for shaping, elevating, and governing OneStream’s digital brand voice. This individual will lead the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of the voice and tone framework across OneStream’s website, event landing pages, and digital campaign assets, ensuring a consistent, high-quality brand experience at every digital touchpoint.

This role demands a strategic thinker and seasoned digital storyteller with exceptional editorial judgment, the ability to influence cross-functional partners, and a track record of translating complex, technical concepts into clear, compelling, and business-ready narratives. The ideal candidate brings both creative excellence and operational rigor, serving as the organization’s authority on digital voice, tone, and message clarity.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain OneStream’s web voice and tone guidelines, ensuring alignment with brand identity.
  • Write and edit short-form, high-impact copy for website pages, event landing pages, digital ads, display banners, and email campaigns.
  • Develop compelling headlines, subheads, and calls-to-action optimized for digital engagement and conversion.
  • Ensure brand voice consistency across all digital assets and enforce adherence to messaging standards.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to distil technical product language into digestible, audience-ready messaging.
  • Optimize content for clarity, engagement, and digital performance following UX and SEO best practices.
  • Partner with Design and Web teams to align copy with visual layouts and user experience flows.
  • Leverage AI responsibly for ideation and optimization, ensuring outputs meet brand and ethical standards.
  • Proofread digital assets for accuracy, grammar, style alignment, and tone consistency.

Required Education and Experience 

  • 5-7 years of digital copywriting experience, ideally within B2B technology or SaaS.
  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: English, Journalist, Communications, Marketing, Creative Writing, Professional Writing, Digital Media, or Advertising.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to produce short-form, high-impact digital content.
  • Background in SEO best practices and web content optimization.
  • Proven ability to write short-form, high-impact copy for websites and landing pages.
  • Strong understanding of voice and tone guidelines and brand storytelling.
  • Experience creating and implementing voice and tone frameworks for digital platforms.
  • Experience collaborating with product messaging guides to create powerful stories.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with CMS platforms (Sanity a plus).
  • Familiarity with conversion-focused writing and A/B testing.
  • Background in finance or enterprise software is a plus.

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding of digital storytelling, brand voice, and tone governance.
  • Ability to simplify complex/technical concepts for business decision-makers.
  • Excellent attention to detail, editorial judgment, and multitasking ability.
  • Strong writing portfolio demonstrating short-form copy excellence.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Creative teams.

 Travel

  • Regular travel is not expected for this position but may be required up to 25%.
