Position Summary

The Director, Human Resources, reporting to the CFO, will be responsible for managing the overall daily office operations of Aquilon including human resources, recruiting. This newly created position will partner with the Executive team and work to build and improve processes and policies and facilitate long term organizational planning. 

Essential Functions and Duties

The following duties and responsibilities reflect the essential functions for this position but do not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time based on business needs. To be successful the Director, Human Resources must:

  • Collaborate with Executives and department managers to achieve recruiting and hiring goals.
  • Oversee the organization’s human resource requirements; including employee on-boarding, managing and administering health and other employee benefits.
  • Facilitate ongoing review and make recommendations for improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.
  • Work directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
  • Develop and maintain human resource information system that meets the organization’s personnel information needs.
  • Recommend, evaluate and participate in staff development for the organization.
  • Participate on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.

Required Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource, Business or related fields.
  • 10+ years of human resource experience in high growth environment.
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting for various information technology roles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with a flexible approach and mindset.
  • Communicate in a clear and concise manner verbally and in writing.
  • Proven management leadership skills, while taking a “hands on” implementation approach when needed, in a small organization.
  • Knowledge working in Microsoft Office applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Travel up to 10%.

Our Lisle office is easily accessible from I88 and is walking distance from the train station. We're close to many restaurants and have ample parking.
