Director of Special and Strategic Projects

Company and Culture
Everywhere Wireless ("EW" or the "Company") is the leading independent, privately-operated Internet Service Provider ("ISP") in Chicago. The company competes with Comcast and ATT to provide Internet access to business and residential customers throughout Chicago and its first ring suburbs. Using the most advanced microwave and fiber-optic technology, EW has disrupted the status quo in the ISP space by providing customers with a superior Internet experience, all-the-way-around. Internet consumers have historically felt trapped by the "big telecom providers" with no other option but to accept poor customer service, slow Internet speeds, incessant service outages and high, always-increasing pricing. Everywhere Wireless customers have not been shy about letting the world know how much they love the service and company - via Yelp and Google.

Everywhere Wireless represents an ideal place to work, if you have a strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit and a common-sensed approach to business. The company values initiative in its culture and rewards employees that consistently exceed goals, objectives and expectations. EW is headquartered in the River West technology hub within easy walking distance to the CTA, Michelin-rated restaurants, entertainment venues and the Fulton Market District, along with Groupon, Echo, Belly, Jump Trading, Lightbank, Amazon (?) and many other fast growing technology companies.

Position
As the Director of Special Projects (the "DSP"), you will be acting as an extension of the EVP of Real Estate and Strategy (the "EVP"), in the formulation and implementation of, hence the title, special and strategic projects. Such projects may revolve around legal, financial, marketing, operational, procedural and business development requirements and initiatives. You will be the EVP's go-to internal business-focused resource for facilitating the creation and execution of a long list of procedural and creative projects, with internal and external relationships. You will work hand-in-hand with various departments, especially IT and programmatic resources, given that many projects and initiatives will require the use of technology, such as coding, third-party applications, content management systems, CRMs and the like. Notwithstanding, this is not a technology-centric role and does not require any knowledge of coding, networking or professional technological skills.

A few examples of these special projects are as follows: (i) develop sales reports within the Company's CRM that provide tracking of certain key performance indicators, (ii) prepare and develop financial underwriting and presentation of such underwriting for investors and lenders, (iii) create automation within our sales proposal process, (iv) create an internal blog and central communication platform allowing employees and staff to communicate and share information, (v) prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) and human resource guidelines and (vi) develop and lead implementation of marketing campaigns. I think we'll stop there, before Comcast figures out what we're doing. Smile.
