Job Description:

The Data Warehouse Department within Business Technology is seeking a Ab Initio Admin / Architect.

This position requires strong leadership behaviors and a proven record of managing multiple conflicting priorities, embracing Discover Values & Leadership Behaviors, facilitating LEAN principles promoting process efficiency, and experience leading key interactions and programs. Working knowledge across all domains within infrastructure services; AIX & Linux OS/Hardware/Storage technologies.

This role is to help implement and maintain our Ab Initio ETL environment as we migrate from AIX to Linux and then to the cloud. It requires a combination of Ab Initio support and architecture design to ensure we have a well functioning environment. In addition this role will review existing tools developed internally and redesign them to ensure they are in a modern code base and optimized for the environment..

The Ab Initio Admin / Architect is responsible for ensuring responsiveness and resolution to production issues with a support coverage team and act as a point of escalation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the overall ETL Grid footprint in relation to:
• Work with internal Unix Ops teams to perform Installation, upgrades and patching as necessary for the ongoing health of the environment.
• Implement monitors and controls to proactively manage the environment
• Vulnerability remediation
• Define the Ab Initio server footprint as it relates to our migration to Linux and our future state in AWS containers
• Maintain critical environmental documentation
• Perform troubleshooting of complex issues and be able to serve as Tier 2/3 support
• Implement analytical frameworks and consolidated dashboard views
• Understand and forecast the use of our Ab Initio Environment
• Help in the rewrite of a number of internal ETL applications that manage cataloging and code promotion
• Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.

Skills:

• Bachelors degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Statistics preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years work experience
• Must have experience in Information Technology
• Must have experience in a Ab Initio Administration
• Must have knowledge of cloud architectures in AWS
• Coding experience in an upper tier scripting language such as Java or Python
• Working knowledge across all domains within infrastructure services; AIX & Linux OS/Hardware/Storage technologies
• Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising on quality.
• Excellent analytical ability and experience making data driven decisions.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal. Must be able to effectively communicate to varying levels of management.
• Familiarity with running in a virtualized environment
