Job Description
As a Lead System Test Engineer your key responsibilities would be:
- Participate in project level meetings with upper management and other project leads and manager
- Provide certification of deployments in both lower and production environments
- Support development, testing and deployment of application software releases to production and non-production environments
- Ensures design for testability during reviews and audits
- Define engineering best practices, mentor teams to write elegant code using Test Driven Development methodologies
- Create Test Plans for the Functional, Integration, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance testing phases.
- Create and manage the project testing schedules ensuring completion of test cases.
- Lead the mapping of test cases to business requirements
- Identifying all end to end test cases and create Test Effort estimates for agile scrum projects.
- Lead the performance of Functional, Integration, System Integration, Regression, Security, and User Acceptance testing phases
- Create and present metrics and testing status reports to project management and project team
- Lead defect tracking activities and conducted daily defect resolution meetings.
- Create overall test summary report at end of each project phase.
Job Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field, or combination of equivalent education and experience
- 7+ years of experience writing, maintaining and executing Test Cases, continuously maintaining the automated test suite
- Experience in system testing on complex technologies in a lead role
- Capable of creating, managing, and executing effective test programs in a rapid development environment
- Experience in developing requirements-driven test plans and procedures
- Experience working in a highly integrated software/hardware environment
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues
- Solid understanding of test engineering principles
Nice to Have:
- 7+ years of strong technical experience with hands-on in QA application testing and development / system / platform / integration and testing software / solutions
- 2+ years of experience with behavior-driven testing frameworks such as Cucumber and integration-testing frameworks like Selenium and Soap UI
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
