What you’ll be doing

• Working closely with feature teams to create excellent infrastructure tools they will use to operate their systems. A few examples are: CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, environment provisioning, auto-scaling, and security.
• Contributing your extensive knowledge of AWS to help us scale new and existing systems as we grow.
• Working 100% remote from anywhere in the US or Canada, or with your colleagues at our Chicago offices.

What we are looking for

• Experience planning, building, and operating infrastructure for web and analytics platforms in AWS. Some of the AWS services we use include EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, and RDS. 
• Experience executing with an Infrastructure as Code style. We use tools including Terraform/Terragrunt, Ansible, Packer, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Helm, and Nexus. We use SaaSes like GitHub, Slack, and LastPass.
• Experience developing high-quality software that is reliable and easy to maintain. We use languages like Ruby, Javascript, Python, Groovy, Rust, and Go(lang).
• Experience with databases and datastores like PostgreSQL(Aurora and RDS), ElasticSearch, Redis, Memcache, and etc.
• Experience with cloud monitoring. We are using SumoLogic, CloudWatch, Sentry, Sensu, and OpsGenie.
• A desire to work on a team that values your autonomy and good judgement
