Are you interested in joining an innovative startup in the healthcare space?  Through our thousands of smart health stations across the US and Canada, we are uniquely positioned to help millions of people manage their health conditions, including hypertension, obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.  We are looking for an altruistic, motivated backend software engineer to help us continue to build out our cloud-based microservices to provide better health insights and recommendations to our users.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the product team to design and build quality software within Higi’s microservice architecture using cutting edge cloud technologies.
  • Implement software to maintain and improve critical components of Higi’s core infrastructure, including station software, administrative services, and our data warehousing pipeline in support of Higi’s reporting needs across massive data sets.
  • Participate in the technical design, implementation, and testing for releases.
  • Provide estimates to project management.

 

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong background working with C# and .NET (.NET Framework, .NET Core and/or .NET 5).
  • Solid background with object oriented programming concepts.
  • Fundamental understanding of REST API design.
  • Fundamental understanding of asynchronous programming.

 

Preferred (Not Required) Experience

  • Cloud computing services (e.g., Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS).
  • Microservices or service oriented architecture (SOA).
  • SQL and NoSQL solutions (e.g., SQL Server, CosmosDb, Azure Table Storage).
  • Messaging systems such as Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ.
  • Library packages creating, publishing, and consuming (e.g., NuGet).
  • Regulatory compliant environments (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Kiosk applications.
