C++ Software Engineer

As a C++ Software Engineer you will be developing next generation enterprise communications solutions designed for SaaS/Cloud, traditional premise-based, and hybrid architectures. As a member of the Engineering team, you will design, develop and deploy application solutions for the company's expanding list of Fortune 500 clients using advanced speech and VoIP technologies including SIP/RTP. We'd like to add a C++ Engineer to our team and we'd like to know if you think you fit the bill. You will if you:

What you can expect to be doing:

All aspects of application design, development, integration, deployment, post-deployment optimization
Software design
Technical requirements
Debugging skills

To be considered for this position you must have:

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
1-4 years of C++ experience, including practical experience or project work in C++
Strong background in Object-Oriented Programming
Comfortable using Linux, Linux tools, and GBD debugger, a plus
Professional software development experience
Unix command line and shell programming

Ideally, you will also be able to demonstrate:

General network programming experience
Experience working with telephony networks and related technologies – CTI, IVR, VOIP (SIP/RTP)
Relational database and SQL
Experience with NoSQL technologies, such as MongoDB or Cassandra
Experience in a JVM language, such as Java or Scala

A cutting-edge tech stack spurs progress

Will Tangney’s workdays involve collaborating with various teams, brainstorming with peers and tackling robust projects. Currently, he’s working on developing Hydra, the company’s multichannel conversational AI platform. “We’re presently working on our next major release, which will add many exciting features,” Tangney said. While he’s motivated by the Hydra project, he’s equally energized by a new tool utilized in the company’s tech stack: the GraalVM Native Image compiler. This technology improves application performance by optimizing resource utilization and hardens application security.

I enjoy having so many people to brainstorm with, as it enables everyone to further understand problems and identify potential issues ahead of time.
