The Role

As our first in-house engineer you will be tasked with bringing all of our technology projects into one, internal department. This includes working with our proprietary software, loyalty program, and sales crm. Partnering with our CEO to carry out his vision, there are several short- and long-term projects we are excited for you to move forward with! You will be a member of senior management team, helping steer the company and all its entities forward as we grow within our industry and into new frontiers.

Your Responsibilities:

• Create features to better visualize data captured in ILSD
• Assess our Loyalty Rewards Kiosk to determine whether the framework needs to change
• Build out the front end of our Loyalty Rewards Kiosk
• Build out Slot Machine Interface Boards
• Utilize our ledger system to automate our routes
• Ensure our data is capturing on the cloud and pulling it into AWS
• Move our company information storing system from Google Drive to an internal server
• Manage all aspects of company technology and information
• Own the maintenance and further development of our proprietary software, ILSD and Lucky Ledger
• Lead software development efforts, delegating and outsourcing when necessary
• Build department out as we continue to scale
• Participate in weekly senior leadership meetings
• Collaborate with department directors on appropriately utilizing and visualizing departmental data
• Partner with Director of Marketing to further our Loyalty Program through kiosk. data, and tablet development
• Ad Hoc projects for our other entities as assigned by CEO
• Stay close to the code
• Promote thought leadership within the company and engage in activities within the start-up community to help us build our brand awareness and move our tech forward
• Develop extensive knowledge of all of Lucky Lincoln’s platforms

The Must-Haves:

• Bachelor’s Degree from top university
• 8+ years of demonstrable engineering experience with a proven history of leading teams
• Full-stack background with fluency in multiple stacks including Javascript
• Familiarity with Laravel, HTML, and C# (this is what our kiosks were originally built with but you will have the freedom to move it onto whatever framework you want and update to whatever languages you find most appropriate and progressive)
• Thorough understanding of the SDLC including automation and testing
• Experience with cloud-native applications and services
• Solid experience with various types of application servers and databases
• Demonstrated ability to lead positive change and cultivate technology visions

The Nice to Haves:

• Graduate degree
• Strong ability to implement architecture
• Familiarity with AWS
• Experience building Tableau dashboards
• Experience building backend services in Node.JS
• Serverless experience
