Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
The Role
As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible on a day-to-day basis for the operation and support of the components (hardware, software, networking) required for the operation and management of Fusion's IT environment.
This role involves the support of:
- A small footprint of on-premises virtual hosts (VMWare) and virtual machines (Windows & Linux).
- A secure wired and wireless network, firewall and cloud transport services
- Microsoft cloud-based systems such as: Office 365, Azure VM, Azure AD, SharePoint
- The IT systems used to manage, monitor & support Fusion's IT infrastructure and endpoints
- The transition to and the deployment of new cloud-based services including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, deployment of required cloud storage, and resource group development.
As part of this role, you will:
- Own the maintenance of all IT infrastructure (Servers, hosts, network, cloud)
- Support the planning and execution of IT infrastructure projects & improvements
- Manage the configuration and operation of server and cloud service backups
- Lead the triaging, identification, and resolution of IT infrastructure issues
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Support the design and execution of IT DR plans
- Act as a force multiplier as the technical SME of several systems
- Provide technical mentorship to less senior team members
- Accountable for the completion of all SOC2 evidence tickets for IT infrastructure
- Accountable for maintaining of the inventory of all IT infrastructure
- Apply continual process improvement for all processes and systems accountable\responsible for in this role

- Wired/Wireless Networking: Meraki, Palo Alto, UniFi, Dell
- Veeam Backup & Replication, Office 365 Backup

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a role where you supported and maintained enterprise IT infrastructure (see Deploy, Configure, Maintain, Troubleshoot)
- In depth knowledge of networking, virtualization, and cyber security best practices and concepts
- Familiarity with risk management, change management, incident response, disaster recovery as it applies to enterprise IT
- Creative & pragmatic attitude towards problem solving\process improvement
- Familiarity with the ITIL service management process
- Good communication, both internally and externally
- Ability to engage vendor support and vendor relationships for procurement
- Ability to Multi-Task to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner and to be part of an IT Team supporting systems that users in multiple time zones rely upon
- A keen interest in IT and a willingness to learn new systems and technologies and to take on new challenges.
