Cloud Security Manager

Work you’ll do

This role supports the development of information technology solutions by leading and evaluating the security components of solution architectures with a focus on cloud technology.  This includes determining security requirements, design specifications, and compliance controls as well validating adherence to security policies, standards, and industry-accepted best practices. Working between technical and non-technical domains, the Cloud Security Manager is responsible for providing deep technical expertise regarding security risks and risk mitigation approaches.  Additionally, this role assists in the creation a unified approach to security to support the rapid evolution and innovation needs of our information technology projects and cloud efforts.

  • Architecting secure cloud designs using Amazon Web Services, Azure, Google Cloud and other leading cloud providers
  • Evaluate information assurance/security standards and procedures
  • Building, migrating and testing cloud environments and integration with other providers
  • Recommend information assurance/security solutions to support customers’ requirements
  • Assist security management in creating, reviewing and updating the information security strategy and roadmaps on a periodic basis
  • Designing end to end application and data security
  • Integration with on-premise applications, cloud providers or other platforms
  • Envision upcoming security trends and innovate on developing solutions to anticipate future requirements and expectations from clients.
  • Lead by example, care for your team, and establish credibility with quality of your own and your team’s technical execution.
  • Advise clients in global trends relating to Cyber Risk requirements and work collaboratively with them to enhance capabilities.
  • Contribute to Deloitte’s thought leadership within the internal market place.
  • Work includes project management, offering operations/development, sales, innovation, eminence building and people development.

Cyber Security

The Cyber Security team vigilantly protects Deloitte and client data. The team is responsible for a strategic cyber risk program which adapts to a rapidly changing threat landscape, changes in business strategies, risks, and vulnerabilities. Using situational awareness, threat intelligence, and building a security culture across the organization, the team protects the Deloitte brand.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Capability to design and/or evaluate secure cloud-based solutions
  • Experience with Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google) security principles and functions
  • Experience developing and communicating security vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Experience with orchestration & automation concepts and tools
  • Solid capabilities across multiple security domains such as identity and access management (IAM), public-key encryption, security information and event management (SIEM), incident response, threat & vulnerability management
  • Practical knowledge of information security standards and risk assessment frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-32, Cloud Control Matrix (CCM) desired
  • Ability to quickly and succinctly architect and create technical solution documentation
  • Consulting skills (client service orientation, conflict resolution, analysis/synthesis of information, negotiation, project management, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, listening and facilitation skills
  • Up to 25% travel

Preferred:

  • 6+ years in IT Security and Risk Management, Secure SDLC, Application Development and Security, and DevOps
  • BA/BS in information technology, computer science, or related field highly preferred; or significant industry work experience
  • Previous Consulting or Big 4 experience preferred
  • Certifications: CISSP/CCSP/CISM/CIPP or equivalent certification desired
