closerlook is seeking an entry-to-mid level QA Analyst.  This is a short-term engagement of 2-3 months duration and located at closerlook’s River North Chicago office. The primary job responsibilities for this role include testing and quality procedures for closerlook’s digital offerings. 

DUTIES

• Manage test process for:
  • Proprietary websites
  • HTML emails
  • Online advertising media (banner ads)
• Work with Developers, other QA professionals, Business Analysts and Project Managers to ensure project success.
• Log issues in JIRA and track fixes to satisfactory completion.
• Review documentation for testability and to ensure that all inputs necessary to ensure quality are available and understood prior to testing.

REQUIREMENTS

•  Authorization to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment at closerlook, inc. Work sponsorship is NOT available.
• One to four years’ experience as a software quality assurance professional.
• Experience in manual test execution.
• Experience in cross-browser compatibility testing.
• Experience testing on mobile devices, e.g. iOS and Android.
• Experience testing web-delivered rich media.
• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle and the appropriate test activities during each phase.
• Extreme detail orientation.
• The ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Four-year degree and strong English language skills are required.

• Experience with Litmus or similar
• Experience with Browserstack or similar
• Strong familiarity with responsive web design
• Basic proficiency in T-SQL
• Experience with Google Analytics/Google Tag Manager
• Familiarity with industry standards for online advertising, i.e. DoubleClick

** We are anticipating this job will be 40 hours a week but there may be times when it is only 25-30 hours.
