StratEx is a ground-breaking tech company that offers a variety of HR and Payroll solutions to help empower restaurant/hospitality businesses simplify and streamline their internal processes. The foundation on which we base our wide range of services is our proprietary HRIS software, eStratEx.  

We are looking for a Data Engineer that will work collaboratively within an agile software development team to expand and improve our SaaS product suite. You will work to design and build data pipelines, while maintaining the data stores and sources that are the foundation of our business.  This role will be critical in creating a scalable data architecture, and increasing our reporting and analytics capabilities.

 

Must Have:

  • 2+ years experience building, maintaining, and supporting production relational databases

  • 2+ years experience implementing, testing, debugging and deploying data pipelines

  • 2+ years experience scripting data processing and parsing, using Python or similar

  • Experience with Big Data/ETL technologies

  • Familiarity with containerization

  • A quality driven approach to development with a desire to keep things simple

  • Enjoy collaborating with and mentoring colleagues

  • Passionate about technology and learning new things

  • Desire to make continuous improvements to teams and technology

 

Good to Have:

  • Experience with Aurora MySQL RDS

  • Experience with Redshift

  • Experience working within a SaaS company

  • Experience working with CI/CD tools
