Responsibilities include:

  • Build, lead and motivate a healthy team of talented cross-discipline engineers. Provide inspiration, technical guidance and career mentorship.
  • Passionate about strategic ownership of technical architecture and system design
  • Drive sound technical decisions and promote best practices in an iterative, fail-fast environment.
  • Guide your team’s overall delivery with the right functionality and the right quality.
  • Advocate and advance modern, agile software development practices in your team.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • B.S. / M.S. Computer Science or equivalent, with strong fundamentals and problem-solving skills (such as data structures, computational algorithms, and operating systems)
  • Extensive experience in the data engineering landscape with hands-on and leadership skills in data ingestion, integration, transformation and storage.
  • Experienced in leading, coaching and mentoring software development teams delivering stable, maintainable and scalable software
  • Thrive on solving complex problems in an iterative fashion, delivering frequent tactical wins while making progress towards longer term strategic goals.
  • Very good communication skills, and an ability to tailor communication style to different audiences
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in an agile development environment
  • Looking to expand either your management or subject matter experience.
