Responsibilities

HAVI is seeking a Developer Analyst to  join the Downers Grove team that brings solutions to clients through our services and technology. This fast-paced, highly visible position will give you exposure to a wide variety of tasks and technology, from doing simple log pulls to operating system performance enhancements and automation. This role is an incredible opportunity for someone with a strong knowledge of technology, basic coding, and a desire to be a team player. You will work closely with management, developers,  engineers and project teams. Additional responsibilities: 

• Provide technical support to meet end-user Service Level Agreements
• Design and architect solutions
• Assist in developing standards, guidelines, and best practices
• Create test scripts and test cases
• Assist in developing work plans and technical presentations
• Own client issues reported, seeing problem through to resolution
• Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solution to resolve customer issues
• Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
• Provide prompt and accurate feedback to clients
• Ensure proper recording and closure of all issues
• Document knowledge in the form of base tech notes and articles
• Championing automation processes

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience)
• 5+ years delivering scalable web solutions
• 3+ years architecting and delivering web or cloud applications and web services
• Highly action-oriented, with problem-solving nature
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building
• Analytical and critical thinking skills
• Understand business priorities and business logic

Technical Skills & Experience:

• Web development using open-source web programming languages (e.g., Ruby, Python)
• Experience with current cloud delivery architectures such as AWS or Azure 
• 4+ years of business experience with Ubuntu or Red Hat Linux
• Strong relational or NoSQL database experience creating complex schemas to support high performance systems
• 2+ years of databases (MySQL/Mongo/Caassandra)
• Ansible / Jenkins / Git continuous integration technologies

• 1+ years application support experience

• 1+ years automation experience

• Experience using a wide variety of open source technologies plus a variety of cloud services

Additional Preferred Experience:

• Experience using AWS S3,RabbitMQ, Pandas, Numpy, Jupyter, Cython, Kibana, Grafana, HDF5 and SFTP
• Architecture and delivery of highly scalable enterprise solutions
• Retail/CPG Supply Chain domain knowledge 

• Github

• Automated testing
