As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the availability and performance of SilkRoad products and services. As part of our Engineering team, you will be involved in deployment, automation, virtualization, monitoring and troubleshooting across SilkRoad services and applications. You will proactively work with Engineering, Operations, QA, Services, and Product Management to implement and streamline the SilkRoad global SaaS platform. 

Effective communication skills, professionalism and advanced problem solving skills are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will have a development background with an understanding of automation, DevOps, and Windows-based SaaS Infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and support tools for release automation and to improve business/Ops processes related to SilkRoad's products and infrastructure.
• Identify, implement, and assist with product and infrastructure improvements in coordination with Data Center Operations, Security & Compliance, Software Engineering, Support, and Product Management departments.
• Performs full life cycle system development activities (requirements definition, design, development, testing: verification/validation), implementation, and quality assurance.
• Performs tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.

Required Skills

• Development experience with .NET, C#, and Visual Studio required.
• Experience working with MVC, Entity Framework, HTML, CSS, Jquery.
• Strong database knowledge: MS SQL Server, TSQL, Stored Procedures.
• Experience developing both console and web applications.
• Proficiency developing automated unit and integration tests.
• Ability to multitask and work on multiple projects.
• Experience and knowledge of Windows Server and IIS.
• Scripting/PowerShell experience.
• Experience with source control and continuous integration.
• Experience consuming APIs.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with DevOps tools related to Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment, Configuration Management, Source Control.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with Azure or other cloud technologies including orchestrating and provisioning.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with the Microsoft stack, including .NET, SQL Server, IIS, Windows Server 2008+.
