Chowbus is a fast growing, well-funded food startup headquartered here in Chicago on a mission to help diners to discover new and exquisite dishes, and to give traditional mom and pop restaurants a fighting chance to succeed without compromising who they truly are. By building a super app, our goal is to be the one stop shop for everything related to food.

 What You’ll be Doing

• Supporting applications in Production
• Working with developers to improve security, performance, and reliability of applications
• Working with developers and DevOps to create architecture with security, scale, and reliability/durability in mind
• Understanding company needs and monitoring around KPIs surrounding the company
• Writing software and scripts where necessary to reduce manual work and keep systems running

What You Must Have

• 1 to 3+ years working with cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure, Heroku, or equivalent) 
• Load Balancers
• Storage (AWS S3, etc.)
• Container Orchestration (ECS/EKS/GKE/AKS or equivalent)
• 1 to 3+ years supporting applications in production (Ruby on Rails, Go, Java, NodeJS, etc.)
• Production experience and a moderate comfort level with at least one programming language (Python, Go, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.)

What You Should Also Have

• 1 to 3+ years working with Infrastructure as Code or Cloud Orchestration/Configuration tools like Terraform, AWS Cloudformation, AWS CDK, Ansible, Chef, Puppet
• 1 to 3+ years configuring and using Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) tools like CircleCI, Jenkins, Gitlab, or equivalent
• 1 to 3+ years of experience on a rotating or permanent 24/7 on-call rotation
