Job Description Summary

The Project is an architectural and technological platform that provides common services to the entirety of CCC as well as to its partners and customers over APIs consumed as a service. The application development involves building highly available microservices that will be leveraged by partners and customer. The application provides guidance and technology selection and practices for cloud native, microservices patterns, provides commonly used services to help unify and provide a unified, single, consistent CCC experience Project Team: (2 Scrum teams) Austin: 1 Development Manager (existing), 1 Software Engineer, 1 DevOps Engineer EDC: 2 Scrum Masters, 2 Sr. Software Engineers, 2 Software Engineers, 2 Associate Software Engineers, 2 SDET engineers, 2 DevOps Engineers Project Tech Stack: Java 8+, AWS, Containerization (Docker & Kubernetes), Drop Wizard / Spring boot, No SQL (Dynamo DB), Async Messaging (Kafka / Active MQ)

Job Duties

  • Build, automate and manage environment builds, releases and deployments
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code
  • Build automated CI/CD pipelines that follow git flow process, perform automated testing 
  • Develop an automated pipeline with different deployment strategies
  • Ensure Infrastructure and systems are compliant with security and SOC standards
  • Ability to anticipate and troubleshoot problems
  • Participate in Platform maintenance and releases for production and pre-production environment.
  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity tests by performing documented recovery procedures for the platform 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field
  • 5+ years of Hands on DevOps Experience
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
  • Experience with automation/configuration management using Terraform, Ansible or an equivalent. 
  • Experience in CI/CD software deployment automation tools (Jenkins, Artifactory, Helm / Spinnaker etc.)
  • Ability to use a wide variety of opensource technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is mandatory)
  • Experience in building automated code pipelines for cloud-based applications
  • Experience building and deploying containers (Kubernetes, ECS, Mesos)
  • Ability to design and maintain deployment processes in large environments
  • Experience in writing infrastructure code and following GIT process
  • A working understanding of code and script (Java, Python, Node JS)
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Kafka or Storm is a plus
  • Experience with ELK or AppDynamics is a plus
  • Strong experience with RDS / SQL, No SQL databases
  • Certifications in AWS. AWS DevOps certification is a plus
