Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll work collaboratively with software engineering teams to deploy and operate customer-facing, real-time streaming data and collaboration systems, help automate and streamline our operations, build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations, and help troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test and production environments. In coordination with your team, you will support web apps, mobile apps, back-end processes, APIs, integrations to partner systems, and new state-of-the-art streaming data environments. Additional responsibilities:

• Triage, communicate status, and drive resolution for issues with our partner websites, APIs, internal web apps, and the tools and back-end systems that support our largest customer's rewards program
• Carry out root cause analysis of incidents and provide developers with the necessary analysis to fix production defects
• Working regularly with the Development Team, you will learn how to diagnose existing software and help scale developer support responsibilities
• Participate in on-call escalation
• Utilize your excellent communication skills and passion for working with software to become a customer-first advocate

Desired Skills & Experience

• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and tools
• A working understanding of code and script (Python, Bash, Python, or other scripting language)
• Experience with automation/configuration management using Teraform, Chef, or equivalent
• Understanding of telemetry tooling (like Nagios/Datadog)
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
• Ability to diagnose and manage DNS
