What You'll Bring

At least 7 years of leadership experience within an engineering or development organization.

Knowledge and experience of public cloud environments (AWS or Azure preferred)

Strong leadership and team building skills, including the ability to hire and retain talented engineers.

Ability to lead, mentor and coach engineers on a high performing team to drive global technology transformation.

Ability to anticipate and prevent problems and roadblocks to delivery before they occur and to resolve any that do occur quickly.

Knowledge of, and experience in, utilizing Agile processes and ceremonies to deliver product.

We’d Love to See:

Product ownership experience – collaborate with cloud architects on joint product ownership role

Multi-year experience working with cloud service providers such as AWS & Azure, large scale distributed systems principles, cloud native platforms, CI/CD principles, software architecture, systems configuration and management, network architecture and management, operations & security engineering.

Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies (server, network, storage, load balancing, clustering, etc.)

Knowledge and experience with DevOps principles, practices, tools and implementation of Infrastructure as Code (Iac)

Exceptional communication skills and experience in Scrum and Kanban methodologies

Experience in software development practices and with common development tools (source control, CICD, etc)

Hands on experience building large scale application deployments, standard three tier web applications, big data and analytics workloads

Bachelor’s degree in STEM field

Impact You'll Make

Will help to run a highly efficient cloud engineering/development team producing the underlying cloud platform as well as the opinionated versions of services that will be made available to the development community

You’ll collaborate with application developers and architects, infrastructure engineers and architects, and operations staff to develop iteratively better cloud deployments to solve real business problems

You’ll manage a team tasked with developing automation and processes to quickly and rapidly deploy, manage, configure, and scale cloud-based systems and stacks

You’ll help to develop methodologies and systems to automate and support application deployments
