We’re looking for a Director of Software Engineering with both the technical understanding of software development as well as management expertise in a software organization. You’ll enable the team to achieve their highest level of performance by developing a deep understanding of the people, technologies, and practices of the software development group.
As the Director of Software Engineering, you’ll lead a team of talented engineers in designing, building, and delivering our suite of products. You’ll also support the self-development, performance, and professional growth of individuals, as well as foster a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative environment in which our people can do their best work.
QUALIFICATIONS
- C#, .NET 4.8, ASP.NET (MVC), Web API, Azure, Cloud Services
- Visual Studio 2019, Team Foundation Server 2019, Azure DevOps Server 2019
- Windows Server 2019, IIS 10, Windows SharePoint Server
- MS SQL Server 2019 +
- Experience training and developing others to ensure knowledge transfer and continued development of team skills
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build a deep understanding of how our products are built and how they work. Though you won’t be expected to code regularly, you’ll provide hands-on code reviews and expert-level technical assistance to developers.
- Responsible for optimizing workflow and creating an environment for a high-performance software development organization.
- Ensure teams deliver on the product roadmap.
- Manage the professional development and goals of team members, conducting regular one-on-one meetings and giving feedback.
- Responsible for building, coordinating, and delivering new hire onboarding programs and driving ongoing training and development projects for our software development group.
- Own and continuously refine the communication strategies the Development Team uses to build and support products.
- Design, develop, and deliver learning programs across a variety of mediums that lead to lasting positive behavioral change for our development teams.
- Demonstrate a passion and motivation for continuous learning.
