We are seeking an Email Marketing and Development Specialist to join our Audience Management team! This group provides web development and interactive marketing services to clients large and small.
This specialist needs to be an independent worker who is detail oriented and highly organized. The role involves coordination across various creative agencies and our email service provider (ESP). A positive, customer service oriented, and problem solving attitude is a must for this role that involves meeting the demands of both a fixed marketing calendar and frequent client requests.
This job involves exacting standards and unforgiving schedules—the work must be done on time (although some items can be set-up in advance) and error-free. Work schedules regularly include weekend hours to QA and send emails as the aggressive marketing calendar dictates.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to build email campaigns, database selection, HTML presentation, and QA experience for outbound campaigns.
- 3+ years of experience with HTML, JS code, and Adobe Photoshop is highly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills including email, phone and meeting-related communications, including a high level of responsiveness to clients, teams, production and organization of detailed agendas and minutes.
- Experience using web-based email management software-- specifically setting up, previewing, testing, troubleshooting and monitoring email blasts.
- Basic knowledge of HTML – ability to make minor additions and changes to content and HTML templates like Webtrends and Google Analytics tags.
- Analytical skills –ability to gather data and produce and analyze email metrics reports using MS Excel, MS Access and other data analysis software.
- Strategy and planning skills, including setting up calendars, anticipating marketing-related holidays and events, specialized targeting and customer profiling and new creative ideas.
Bonus Skills:
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript –ability to make changes/additions to support various layouts, hiding/display of sections based on various attributes.
- Knowledge of Google AdWords/Analytics and Webtrends
- Basic Photoshop skills - ability to cut images out of a PSD file, manipulate/edit and drop into an established email template.
- Some familiarity with SQL – the ability to review SQL generated by the campaign targeting tool.
- Yesmail a plus.
